Our visit to the Radio & Classic Car Museum, Heraklion, Crete

Heraklion, Crete, October 29, 2019. Our party of friends participants
of the "Crete Drive Expedition 2019", we had taken contact in advance with Mr. George Mitsotakis for visiting his Museum and arranging for giving us
a Tour, accompanied by "tsikoudia" and local cheese.

It is undoubtedly one of the most interesting privately owned Radio & Classic Car Museums, certainly unique for Crete, owing to the love ❤️ and passion of its owner-founder Mr. George Mitsotakis👌

To boot, next door to the Museum he operates a radio station named Best Radio 94.7 FM. Listen to the program Live here: 📻 👍

It’s a well deserved visit for all the radio and car aficionados, despite the fact that most car exhibits are in “Museum Condition” i.e. in as found, unrestored state. 👏😃🏁

Hint: Visitors operates are advised to call in advance for making a tour appointment as well as getting instructions for reaching the Museum since the map is somewhat ambiguous, as to the exit point off the main highway… 😉

A rare Atwater Kent radio since the early 1930s ‼️

A very memorable experience with few of our good friends and #SISOE members as for example: Byron Riginos, Athanase Yannoukos, Spilios Filippou, Takis Zachariou and others 😎
